Upcoming: Art update (0.4.2)

We have already started working hard towards another small release that is going to contain the arts in it. This includes visual arts and musical arts.

If you want a sneak peak at the music that is going to be put into it you can view a bunch of it here:

Credits go to Classi, a college friend of Greenguy who has nicely allowed us to use his amazing tunes in Renewal. Make sure you guys check out his profile there on soundcloud and feel free to favourite his music. If you have any comments on it please let me know, and/or you could even leave Classi a personal comment if you like his music as much as the Renewal team does.

Anyways, we are also going to be doing a couple fairly big graphics updates for this, including;

Information for 0.04.1

0.04.1 is under current development as a weapon skills pack. As many previous fans may know, Renewal has had skills in it  since its earliest release of 0.01, with very few possibilities, and in most cases not EVEN possible to use them.

Fortunately we can now claim to have hit a significant milestone in the development of skills. Inclusing atleast 17 all new skills for your weapons with there own personalized stats. Some skills have the capabilities of dealing extra damge, dealing de-buffs to foes, granting buffs to oneself, or even effecting the chances you have of looting certain items. If you stay tuned on this thread you may be able to get your hand on a sneak peak of just a few of these new amazing skills.

That's not it either... a new exciting feature that is also almost completely implemented is a new form of "currency" if you must call it that. Of course cash is spent to purchase skills, but AP -short form for action points- is spent to use a skill on the spot. AP will be earned from fights/drinking energy drinks etc. AP is a very simple feature that is being put in place to help balance the use of skills in battle and of course to make the struggle for survival more of a fun challenge for all of you fans ;)

That's all now, look forward to more information on this minor update later on this week, and make sure to tell all of your friends about us here with Renewal :)

Intro to Renewal 0.04

Renewal is a zombie survival game where the goal is basically to survive for as long as you can. If you want to know more I think you should give the game a try.

We are now into V0.04 and the game has so far progressed an extreme amount since we released 0.01. The newest Update includes plenty of fixes and some nice new features that I think you will all be excited for ;) If you want more information on the latest release (0.04) you can read it just below.

Our team consists of:

Tgbtom (Main Coder)
Skyepilot2 (Spriter and graphics designer)
GreenGuy (Spriter and graphics designer)
Satyre (Music Contributer)

V0.04

Semi-Randomly spawned sheds can be looted from! (Money, weapons, ammo)

Money can be looted from zombies
-Control System (Limited but improved drastically)
One control cannot be assigned two separate purposes
Movement controls
Open Inventory
Open Options Menu (NEW!)

Action button (Talk, enter/leave buildings/scenes)
-Combat system
Text now indicates whether it is your turn or the foes turn
Sound effects corresponding to weapons (Still working on new sounds)
Looting: Stackable loots(2Xrotten Flesh, 45X Metal Pellets)
Actor indicator in fight scene that tells you how much ammo you have for the current weapon

New Graphics:

Other Fixes:
-Game freeze when cutting down trees has been fixed (No longer will you find zombie’s glitching out on tree stumps)
-Zombies start moving as soon as they are spawned
-When a menu is opened, zombie do not need to be regenerated (They are put back in the same place) This way people cannot escape a large battle by simply going into their menus
-The intro tutorial will no longer go back to earlier steps if you accidentally re-do one of them (E.G, pressing E/I will no longer put the tutorial back to that step and make you redo it all).
To skip the tutorial for players with experience, they may simply press F (Default) to open the options menu and then the same key to close it.
-Sometimes trees were not being cut down? Fixed

Thank you.
